Site requirements for Hericium erinaceus spawn production

Hericium.jpg

The site for Hericium erinaceus spawn production must have corresponding independent sites such as a material yard, a drying yard, a batching yard, a loading yard, a sterilization room, a cooling room, an inoculation room, and a culture room. In addition, the production of mother cultures must also have a site for fruiting experiments.

1. Site requirements

(1) Material yard

The material yard is the storage site for culture media, mainly used to store culture materials such as cottonseed hulls, wheat bran, wheat grains, lime, gypsum, and culture containers such as culture bottles and plastic bags. The Hericium erinaceus spawn material yard is mainly an indoor site, and requires a separate building to prevent the spread of mites. At the same time, the site must be well ventilated and dehumidified, and attention must be paid to preventing the raw materials from mildewing.

(2) Drying yard

Used for exposing the culture media to the sun to kill insects and sterilize. It requires an open, spacious, well-ventilated, dry cement or hard ground.

(3) Batching yard

Used for preparing the culture medium. It requires a spacious, bright site with convenient water and electricity access and a cement floor. It must be equipped with faucets and sinks, etc.

(4) Loading yard

Used for packaging culture medium. Generally, in small and medium-sized culture farms, the loading yard and the mixing yard are combined.

(5) Sterilization room

The sterilization room is a place where various sterilization equipment are placed and used for sterilizing culture medium. It requires a spacious space, convenient water and electricity, and smooth air flow.

(6) Cooling room

Used for cooling sterilized culture medium, it is required to be constructed according to the standards of a sterile room, with a dry, clean, dust-proof and easy heat dissipation space. It should be cleaned and disinfected frequently and equipped with sliding doors and buffer rooms.

(7) Inoculation room

The overall requirements are similar to those of the cooling room. Generally, in small-scale culture farms, the two are combined into one.

(8) Culture room

The overall requirements of the culture room are similar to those of the inoculation room. It requires ventilation, dryness, cleanliness, heat preservation, and moisture-proof. It must have temperature control facilities and a culture rack inside.
