Standardized factory layout and professional mushroom house construction are essential for stable year-round industrial cultivation of king oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus eryngii), ensuring consistent output and low contamination risk.

1. Overall Factory Layout & Zoning

Mushroom factories generally adopt three practical layouts: straight line, U-shape, and square shape for smooth production flow. The plant is divided into four functional zones: production and sterilization, mycelium cultivation, fruiting and packaging, and auxiliary facilities.

Raw material workshops are placed at the downwind northwest corner to prevent cross-contamination. Core cultivation rooms are built with heat-insulated and moisture-proof materials. Room sizes are flexible, ranging from 50–60 m³ for small factories to 400–600 m³ for large-scale production.

2. Mycelium Cultivation Room Construction

Mycelium rooms are built with 8–10 cm thick insulation panels, with a standard size of 60–80 m³. Each room is equipped with independent refrigeration and circulation timing systems, as well as 7-layer standardized cultivation racks.

Equipped with ventilation systems, insect-proof nets and energy-saving lights, the rooms maintain a clean and stable growing environment. Layered shelf cultivation effectively reduces bag damage, air infection and substrate detachment, lowering contamination rates.

3. Fruiting Room Construction

King oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus eryngii) require a stable fruiting temperature of 14–16℃, so fruiting rooms adopt higher insulation standards. Walls use 12–15 cm thick cold storage panels, while the ground is professionally insulated, waterproofed and cement-hardened for constant temperature.

Dedicated racks are used for both bag and bottle cultivation. Mesh racks for bag cultivation offer large capacity, easy removal of contaminated bags, and even airflow, light and water distribution, improving cultivation efficiency and mushroom uniformity.

4. Intelligent Environmental Management

All fruiting rooms feature independent timed controls for ventilation, lighting and humidification. Precision environmental adjustment adapts to the different growth stages of king oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus eryngii), enabling standardized, intelligent and refined factory cultivation.
